WNS CONE ROLLS (CR255-1) are principally used for making all types of cones, funnels and curved taper work of various angles. The three rolls are made of steel and arranged with open ends so that complete cones can be withdrawn without distortion. These rolls have a maximum capacity of 1.0mm Mild Steel*.
*IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ!
The capacity of these rolls, when forming a full pointed cone, is lower than it is when forming an open ended cone. We would recommend a maximum capacity of 0.5mm mild steel when forming a full pointed cone. Material up to 1.0mm capacity mild steel can be used when forming an open ended cone for the larger diameter part of the rolls.Â
The thickness of material that can be used will also need to be adjusted, depending on the diameter of the tube being formed. Smaller diameter tubes will lower the capacity, and larger diameter tubes will increase it (up to the 1.0mm maximum).Â
The user will need to make a capacity judgement on the individual tube size being formed. WNS will not be held accountable for damage caused to cone rolling machines if they have been used above their designed capacity.
